Our Mission

The mission of the Metropolitan Washington Bankers Group is to promote community and economic development and fair and equal access to credit. The Metropolitan Washington Bankers Group seeks to:

•  Explore opportunities to provide services to traditionally underserved markets for credit and other banking services;

•  Develop public private partnerships to address community and economic development needs;

•  Educate the public on various financial products and services; benefits and risks, and consumer rights;

•  Work with stakeholders to develop and implement necessary actions to make the communities served a better place to live, work and do business.
